"Intertek is a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world. In 2011 QinetiQ Fuels and Lubricants Centre, which operated on QinetiQ's Farnborough site, was acquired by Intertek. The Fuels & Lubricants Centre (FLC) at Cody Technology Park provides a one-stop shop for fuels and lubricants consultancy and testing services.
During the acquisition negotiations, it became clear that there were significant benefits to both Intertek and QinetiQ if the FLC, which required extensive analytical laboratory and other specialist facilities, stayed in its current location. The Cody Technology Park property and IS teams were quick to respond with a fully serviced accommodation package that suited both parties and this was concluded within a matter of weeks."
